SUMMER WORSHIP: Our 8:45 service with its informal air fits the summer mood and will continue to sing gospel hymnody and anthems. Our 11:00 service offers music variety including praise choruses and a misic team. The children and youth will continue to be involved throughout these months. Don't miss worship



June 7: Andy will preach on the trinity and romans5:1-5. An annual Trinity Sunday was begun in the !0th century as a celebration of the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The anthem is "Lay Up Your Treasures in Heaven."

June 14: Music Sunday. Come and sing some favorite hymms and learn a few new ones too!

June 21: Father's Day. Sally will preach from Psalm 42, and Holy communion will be served at both services. The choir anthem is "As the Deer."

June 28: Andy will preach from John 9:1-7 on the man born blind and his healing by Jesus. We will have a time during worship for people to pray for healing in their own life.


 
YEAR SEVEN
We have been informed that Sally and Andy will be re-appointed for another year at Annual Conference by Bishop Kammerer. Both our co-pastors and Staff-parish Relations Committee asked for this continuation. Please wish Sally and Andy well as we look forward to another good year ahead. We will have a new District Superintendent, Harold Bales. He is an exceptional person and pastor, we are fortunate to have him as the leader of the United Methodist churches in Rowan and Cabarrus counties.
 
ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD
On may 17 there was a caleed meeting in response to "Growing Together" questionaires. Vision committee memebers share demographic material about our area and distributed evaluation forms to help analyze current church programs and to help make future plans. An "Educational Task Force" was to be appointed to evaluate our educational/discipleship program and to recieve an update on campaign suggested building projects: Exterior lighting, fellowship hall stage, nursury sound system, staff voice mail, and carpet in 2 children's classroom.
